Imagine an internal "web" that supports the shape of your body and ensures the coordinated operation of all systems. With injuries, chronic stress, inflammation, or stress, the fascia may thicken, curl, or lose elasticity. This often causes pain, movement limitations, and a general feeling of "tightness"—even for no apparent reason.
How does the method work?
The Fascial Manipulation® method, developed by Italian physiotherapist Luigi Stecco, relies on targeted, structured work with specific areas of fascial tissue.
During the session, the specialist identifies areas of increased tension and manually affects them, restoring glide, elasticity and coordination of the fascial network.
Why is the Fascial Manipulation method so effective?
For more than 40 years, the founders of the method have been developing and scientifically substantiating the methodology. The first scientific publications were made back in 1997 by Luigi himself, and today his work is continued by his children Carla Stecco and Antonio Stecco, doctors and scientists from the Padua Medical Institute.
Perhaps in the history of connective tissue research, Stekko's surname is one of the most famous in the professional community.
The Institute of Fascial Manipulation was opened in Italy in 1995 and began teaching a 3-year school for manual therapy specialists.
